The strangest thing I have ever eat

In my entire meal experience, I could not say that I have eaten something really strange. At least I do not remember. Moreover, I am wondering in myself how it can be that I have not eaten something strange... Perhaps I did, but just do not remember. Thus, I will tell a little about one very tasty and special Lithuanian national dish. It is called "cepelinai". Actually, it is so named, because it resembles a Zeppelin airship; however, even it is a german word, it has no relation with german cuisine. So, the ingredients are quite simple: potatoes, pork meat, spices and sauce. Though, the preparation is not that easy. The potatoes should be grated into small pieces and after that the water with starch should be strained out (but only water should be eliminated). Then we should put back the starch and also put some flour. All this mass should be mixed. Next, we should take a farce of pork and depending on taste put into it some spices, onion and peppers; and it should be mixed and made in a small balls. Then we should form a Zeppelin shape from the potatoes' mass (around 10-20 cm long), and at last, find a big pot, fill it with water and put the "Zeppelins" to boil. In addition, it is necessary to be careful not to boil it too much; otherwise, it will lose its shape. This is it! Finally, the dish can be served with sour cream or with mushroom sauce. Therefore, this is a very special Lithuanian dish which makes a great impression for foreign people, too.

  1. Oh, it seems that you are a good cook. So it will be lucky for the girl who is going to be your wife. The family meals can glue people together, especially when the man is the one who prepares the dishes. I love that kind of family. :-)
